What is Hosting?
Website hosting is the process of renting space to house a website on the World Wide Web. All websites need hosting. We “handle” the hosting for almost all of our clients.
Exceptions: we do not handle hosting for:
- kingandbeaty.com
- Preferredinsurance.com & ca site
- Reliableappliancecs.com
- arnoldreadymix.com
Infront Hosting
Green Geeks – Go to WHMCS > Pick a customer > Upper right – configuration – system settings – servers – click button next to cpanel2 to login to whm > look for the domain
Cloudflare
We use Cloudflare for almost all our nameservers and DNS hosting. Exceptions are blicks, ebls.org and the pueblo HOA site.
A records In CloudFlare’s DNS management we set/enabled “Proxied” for the A record then you’ll see CloudFlare’s IP address as A record and not the actual host IP address. It’s good and secure to enable the “Proxied” option at CloudFlare’s DNS, this hides servers IP address from attacker/hackers.

Modifying Hosts File
If you’d like to review the site prior to changing DNS, we recommend using a modified hosts file to do so:

Select “Terminal” and press “Enter.” You will now want to execute the following command to open your hosts file with the nano text editor:
> sudo nano /private/etc/hosts
To save your changes:
Press CTRL+X
Press “y”
Here is the hosts file line you’ll use:
> 72.249.48.124 prodigygym.com www.prodigygym.com
> 72.249.48.124 flyingw.com www.flyingw.com
Run this command to flush DNS resolver cache
sudo killall -HUP mDNSResponder

- WHM disk space cleanup process
- Cpanel > Disk Usage > delete files in all the following directories
- Public_html > cache
- Log
- Tmp
- .razor
- .spam assassin
- Delete unused databases (ck with Joomla Admin)
- cPanel > email account

- Clear out old email (manage)
- Delete email and forwarder accounts not being used
- Setup an alias “[email protected]” that goes to bit bucket

- Cpanel > Disk Usage > delete files in all the following directories
- > system toolbar > Clear Cache, this can be a big help
- > component > akeeba backup > manage backups > delete old
- > Global Configuration
- > server > from mail > noreply@domain name

- > components > contacts > Disable any contacts
WHM Down
Use the Virtuozzo to see if iNodes have maxed out
- Sites Down?
- WHM > Mail Queue Manager > Check for queued spam
- WHM > Show Current Disk Usage > Check for full disk
- WHM > View Relayers – displays relay spam
